Government requests for social networking giant Facebook’s user data rose by a quarter in the first half of 2014 compared with the six months before that.
The technology firm said such requests by global governments increased by 24% to nearly 35,000 for the first six months of the year, as per reports.
In the same period, restricted Facebook content due to local laws increased by 19%.
The firm is currently involved in a legal fight in the US against handing over user data.
