Google's removal of link criticized

  • A European Commission spokesperson has said that Google’s removal of a BBC article from a few of its search results was “not a good judgment.”

The article in question was by Robert Peston. A link to it was removed under the “right to be forgotten” ruling of the European court.

The spokesperson, however, expressed doubts over whether Google’s action could be classified under “reasonable public interest.”

Google is reportedly going through tens of thousands of links whose removal people have requested.
