Google software recognizes images with far greater accuracy
November 19 , 2014
Google researchers have created software that describes the content of images with much greater accuracy than earlier, according to media reports.
The artificial intelligence software’s descriptions of photographs were similar to those written by a human.
The technology company said that besides ease in image searching, the software can be used as an aid for blind people in understanding pictures.
The software uses neural networks: one is linked to image recognition; the other deals with language processing.
