Google flattens its logo
September 21 , 2013
Google has made a small change to its logo by flattening it. The change is "extremely subtle" since the company has only gotten rid of some of its outside shading.
The logo isn't even entirely new and has been used for years but not just on the homepage.
The company in its official blog post said "as part of this design, we've also refined the color palette and letter shapes of the Google logo."
Google's logo was updated only a week after there were rumors about the company working on a new look. The updated design will have the ability to launch platforms such as YouTube, Maps and Gmail. It is supposed to become available "across most Google products over the next few weeks."
