Google executive skydives from edge of space
October 25 , 2014
Alan Eustace, a Google executive, jumped from the edge of space in a specially made spacesuit, breaking the sound barrier along with many skydiving records.
Eustace jumped from a height of more than 130,000 feet, beating the previous record set in 2012 and hitting a maximum speed of 822mph.
The four-and-a-half-minute supersonic jump was part of a secretive project by Paragon Space Development Corp. Paragon has been trying to develop a spacesuit which would make it possible to explore around 20 miles over the surface of the Earth.
