Google buys biotech firm that developed anti-tremor spoon

  • Lift Labs, a biotech firm that developed a spoon to aid people with Parkinson's and other diseases, has been bought by Google, reports said.

The firm will be integrated into Google X, the research unit of Google. The financial details of the deal have not been revealed.

In 2013 Google invested in Calico, a company that seeks to develop life-extending medicines.

Lift Labs’ spoon has sensors that detect and cancel out tremors.
