EU files complaint against Google's 'anti-competitive' behavior

  • The EU has filed a complaint against search giant Google following allegations of anti-competitive activities.

Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager indicated that the technology firm had abused its search dominance by promoting its own shopping links.

Google, which has ten weeks to respond to the claims, said that it “strongly disagreed” with the allegations, according to media reports.

The EU has also launched a probe into whether Google’s bundled Android services and apps lead to unfair practices.
