Cybercrime: US offers $3m reward for information on Russian hacker
February 25 , 2015
The US is offering a $3 million reward for information on Evgeniy Bogachev, a Russian hacker suspected to be behind a cybercrime attack in which over $100 million was stolen.
This is the highest amount the United States has ever offered in a case involving cybercrime.
However, arresting Bogachev may not be easy as he is believed to be in Russia at an unidentified location.
The suspect ran a cyber attack network which may have infected over one million computers. Financial details of the victims of the hack were reportedly stolen.
