Cyberattack exposed credit card information of 3M users

  • Adobe Systems said credit card information of its customers has been exposed by hackers; About 3M users' information has been affected and the attacker seems to have accessed the company's customer IDs and passwords.

    This access has enabled the hackers to remove information related to orders such as customers' credit and debit card numbers and expiration dates. 

    Customers are being notified and the company is also informing banks to help protect the accounts of its users. 

    Adobe chief security officer referred to cyberattacks as being "the unfortunate realities of doing business today."

    The company is working with federal law enforcement and is also investigating illegal access to source code of a number of its products; Adobe believes the attacks are related.
