Cyber attack on TV network: French police probe role of 'Russian hackers'
June 10 , 2015
French police are focusing their attention on a group of Russia-based hackers suspected to be behind an unprecedented cyber attack on TV5 Monde television network.
In April, jihadist messages were posted on the network’s website by people claiming to act on behalf of Islamic State. But police are now examining the role of APT28, a Russian hacker group.
According to French media reports, in the past the group has targeted computer systems of Russian dissidents, NATO members and Ukrainian activists.
