Cops use Google Earth to bust pot garden
October 24 , 2013
Police bust a medical marijuana garden outside Grants Pass in Oregon using the view from space.
After authorities received a tip that a 50-year old man named Curtis W. Croft bragged about his marijuana being grown on his property, they used Google Earth to see what they can find.
The images taken in June showed several plants in neat rows. Hence, the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement Team went to get a closer look and checked records for medical marijuana.
Since Croft was allowed to only grow for five people, police seized the rest of the 94 plants.
