China's Baidu to invest $1.6 billion in cloud computing center

China's biggest search engine Baidu is to invest around $1.6 billion to set up a cloud computing center, according to the company’s chief financial officer.
Baidu also unveiled its mobile Internet browser at its annual conference in Beijing on Monday.
The firm is looking to cloud computing as the core of its mobile strategy in a bid to capitalize on the growing sector.
