China Mobile profits increase 2.7 percent for 2012

  • China Mobile reported a 2.7 percent increased in profits last year.

    On Thursday, the state-owned company said net profits rose to $20.8 billion on revenues up 6.1 percent to $90.2 billion.

    China Mobile, the world’s largest mobile operator, said revenue growth last year was primarily boosted by its data business.

    The company added that number of its subscribers increased by 9.3 percent to 710 million with around 87.93 million customers joining its 3G network.
