China blocks access to Gmail
December 30 , 2014
The government of China has blocked people from gaining access to Google’s email service through third party email services, media reports said. Following an earlier blocking by the Chinese authorities, many Chinese as well as foreigners were depending on third party email services such as Apple Mail or Microsoft Outlook to access their Gmail accounts.
Many internet users in China were angry with the government for initiating the blocking. According to a data from Google, traffic to Gmail from Chinese servers dropped to zero.
