China becomes biggest PC market in 2012

China has surpassed the United States as the world’s biggest market for personal computers, according to a market data report released on Monday.
According to consultancy firm HIS, PC shipments to the country increased by 69 million units in 2012.
Last year, the U.S. dropped to second place with orders for 66 million units.
In recent years, global PC sales have dropped as demand for laptops increase. However, in China the sale of desktops and laptops is split evenly.
