Candy Crush maker to trademark the word 'Candy'

Developers should be warned that they can't use the word "candy" for their next game. The company behind Candy Crush Saga is trademarking the word and has sent warnings to some developers including one in Florida.
Benny Hsu had to change the word "candy" from the title of his new game called "All Candy Casino Slots" and he isn't happy about being forced to do so. He called it "blatantly anti-competitive" but the British company behind the life-waster app, mentioned that Hsu's app used their CANDY trademark "for identical goods which amounts to trade mark infringement."
