Blackberry delayed the launch of its famous BBM messenger apps for iPhone and Android, following an unreleased version of the Android app that was posted online.
The unofficial version saw 1.1M users in a span of eight hours but caused issues, which the company continues to address. The nature of these issues has not been specified but they have not affected the messenger service for BlackBerry.
The company mentioned that the unreleased version will be disabled but those who have already downloaded it, would be able to use it.
"As soon as we are able, we will begin a staggered country roll-out of BBM for Android and continue the roll-out of BBM for iPhone," the company said.
