Blackberry 10 to be launched in January
November 13 , 2012
The next Blackberry smartphone is to be introduced on January 30, manufacturer Research in Motion (RIM) announced on Monday.
RIM, once at the forefront of the smartphone market, has struggled in recent years to keep up with rivals Apple and Google.
The new range will run on the upgraded operating system, Blackberry 10.
RIM did not mention when the smartphones will be available to buy.
The devices were due to be launched late this year but in June the company announced a delay, meaning it will miss out on the crucial holiday period.
The company said it will release two models: one with a touchscreen and the other with a Qwerty keyboard.
