Belgian privacy watchdog takes Facebook to court
June 17 , 2015
Belgium’s privacy commissioner has taken social networking giant Facebook to court over allegations that the technology firm tracks people across the internet in violation of Europe’s privacy laws.
The Belgian Privacy Protection Commission (CPP) has also accused the firm of tracking non-user’s browsing habits.
Expressing surprise over the CPP move, Facebook described the privacy watchdog’s action as “theatrical” as it was due to meet the commission in a few days.
