Baygen wind-up radio creator Trevor Baylis made CBE in New Year Honors List

Trevor Baylis, the creator of the Baygen wind-up radio, has got a rare honor. The inventor has been made a CBE in the New Year Honors List, according to media reports. He was honored for his services to intellectual property. Baylis had recently undertaken a campaign to make the United Kingdom a much better place for investors.

Trevor Baylis, who got an OBE in 1997, is currently the head of Baylis Brands. Baylis best known invention, the Baygen wind-up radio, was created in 1991. Baylis has not made much profit from the invention, despite the fact that it has achieved huge success. Currently the design is under the control of Freeplay engineering firm.
