Apple and HTC settle patent disputes
November 12 , 2012
Apple and Taiwanese phone manufacturer HTC have settled all outstanding disputes over patents bringing an end to feud that began in March 2010.
The two firms also signed a 10-year licence agreement on Sunday that will apply to current and future patents held by one other.
In recent years, Apple has been embroiled in a series of patent wars with rival phone makers.
HTC and Apple were fighting more than 20 cases across the globe.
Last year, the iPhone maker won an order from the U.S. International Trade Commission, which issued a "limited exclusion order" directing that HTC stop releasing infringing smartphones into the U.S. from April.
