App will allow homeowners to turn off lights by speaking into a smartphone

  • Samsung has claimed that a single smartphone app will be able to control appliances and lightings.

The company is expected to introduce a system, which will allow users to say "Goodnight" to remote controls for their TVs, allowing it to turn off and having the lights dimmed. Moreover, users will also be able to control their homes from all over the world using built-in cameras.

Samsung intends on linking all its products to one interface so users can say "Going out" and enjoy having their lights turned off and the heating turned down at the same time.

"With Samsung Smart Home, we are bringing our capabilities as the world's number-one manufacturer of smart devices to make the connected home a reality for consumers today," President of Samsung Electronics UK and Ireland Andy Griffiths said.
