Amazon unveils gaming and streaming device
April 3 , 2014
Amazon is definitely trying to enter people's living rooms with its Fire TV, which reportedly delivers music, video and other content for televisions. The company mentioned that the device worth $99 is better than Apple TV and Google Chromecast in terms of functions, speed and performance.
However, the company is a little late to come out with the streaming device game and we still have to see if customers like the new services enough to ditch their current streaming methods.
"Amazon is trying to repeat part of the success it has seen with its Kindle Fire tablet, which serves a dual purpose as an electronic catalog for Amazon's products and services, as well as a cheap Android tablet," Devindra Hardawar of VentureBeat writes.
