Amazon expands drone project in Cambridge

  • Internet retailing giant Amazon is gearing up to test drones at Cambridge in England, media reports say.

The American technology firm had announced in 2013 that it was planning to use drones to reduce considerably the travel time to deliver customer orders, especially on the same day.

In July this year the company asked the US Federal Aviation Administration for the green signal for drone testing.

Now, reports say that Amazon is investing in research and development in Cambridge to give a boost to its drone project.
