Alibaba spends more than $160m to combat fake goods

  • In an effort to combat fake goods on its websites, Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba has spent more than $160m from the beginning of 2013 to November 2014, as per media reports. The company has removed more than 90 million items from its e-commerce sites.

    The company said fake goods could hurt the company in winning customers and investors. In recent years, the company has been aggressively tackling counterfeit products.
