Zinedine Zidane eyes France coaching job

  • Zinedine Zidane has revealed he will sit his preliminary coaching exams this year.

Zidane, who led France to World Cup glory over Brazil as a player 14 years ago, added he would like to coach his national team at some point in the future.

Zidane, 40, told L'Equipe: "I'll pass my coaching diplomas...We'll see later on for the professional coaching license. You have to start with something and I'll start this year."

When asked about the possibility of coaching France, the former Real Madrid midfielder added: "One day, why not coach this team?

"It's never the time to speak about it because there are always coaches in place, but you asked me the question, and you got my answer. I've got lots of other things to do beforehand. We'll see how it pans out later."
