Yohan Blake eyes 20-20 cricket stint

  • Jamaican sprinter and London 2012 triple Olympic medal winner Yohan Blake has revealed he may take part in Australia’s Twenty20 Big Bash League.

The 22-year-old was a guest of honor at Lord's cricket ground for the first day of England's final Test with South Africa and rang the bell to start play.

"I love cricket, more than I love athletics," he said.

He added that he still plays competitively for Kingston Cricket Club and said both he and teammate Usain Bolt would love to play in the Big Bash.

"It is a possibility and definitely one I hope comes true," said Blake.

Bolt previously stated he wanted to play for the Melbourne Stars after he was approached by former Australian bowler Shane Warne. The Sydney Sixers are also hoping they can sign up Blake.
