World Record attempt kills skydiver
April 5 , 2014
Another attempt to make a world record in skydiving ended in a tragic manner. Reports suggest that one of 222 skydivers came together from 28 countries to free-fall and make two formations before pulling out their parachutes. However, a 46-year-old woman didn't make it since her parachute malfunctioned. She was declared dead after someone spotted her fall and informed the authorities.
A spokeswoman for the team mentioned that the accident didn't have anything to do with the size of the group. "Our dear friend cannot and will not be replaced," the team spokeswoman said.
Two other skydivers died after they collided midair in December.
