World Cup Cricket 2015: India defeat Pakistan by 76 runs

Continuing their World Cup domination over their South Asian rivals, India overwhelmed Pakistan by 76 runs in their opening match of the tournament in Adelaide on Sunday, led by a composed century by Virat Kohli.
Kohli, who scored 107, was assisted by Shikhar Dhawan’s 73 and Suresh Raina’s 74, which took the world champions to a respectable 300-7. Sohail Khan was the pick of the Pakistani bowlers, finishing with figures of 5-55
Pakistan, the World Cup winners in 1992, rarely looked threatening while chasing and were bundled out for 224.
India have now won all their six World Cup encounters against Pakistan.
