West Ham beat Everton in thrilling tie

  • West Ham defeated Everton in a nail-biting FA Cup match, with goalkeeper Adrian scoring the winning penalty.

    According to media reports, Enner Valencia opened the scoring for West Ham in the 51st minute, but Kevin Mirallas equalized in the 82nd minute, pushing the match into extra time. 

    The two teams scored a goal each in extra time, the score tied at 2-2, forcing the match into penalties, which West Ham won 9-8.  

    Sam Allardyce, the West Ham manager, described it as an “unbelievable match”. Roberto Martinez, the Everton manager, said his was the “better side” but proved unlucky in the penalty shootout.
