Vijay Singh cleared of PGA doping charges

  • Fiji's Vijay Singh will not be suspended by the US PGA Tour for using a deer antler spray known to contain a banned growth-enhancing substance.

PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem made the announcement on Tuesday, stating it had dropped its case against Singh.

Singh had admitted to using deer antler spray in an interview with Sports Illustrated in January.

Deer antler spray is known to contain IGF-1, a growth factor listed on both the World Anti-Doping Agency and PGA Tour Prohibitive Lists.
