US, Canada and Mexico Aim for a Joint Bid to Host 2026 World Cup

  • As per reports, in order to host 2026 World Cup, the US, Canada and Mexico are going to submit a joint bid.

CONCACAF confederation chief Victor Montagliani said that if this bid gets successful, it will help in breaking down divisions created by the US President Donald Trump, who is trying hard to build a wall along the border of Mexico.

In the 2026 edition, the tournament will expand to 48 teams. The three-way bid potentially will become more attractive to the FIFA committee members.

The final bidding process is going to start by the end of this year and will not end until 2020.
