UConn star said he goes to bed starving

Shabazz Napier's performance in the NCAA championship game last night is now drawing attention to the comments he made last week. He was asked about the National Labor Relation Board's ruling in relation to Northwestern football players being employees who had a right to unionize. Napier mentioned that he didn't consider himself to be an employee.
"Sometimes, there's hungry nights where I'm not able to eat," he said. "When you see your jersey getting sold, to some credit, you feel like you want something i return ...There are hungry nights when I got to bed and I'm starving."
His comments are drawing attention after they were featured in an article and CNN reported that they inspired lawmakers in Connecticut to allow UConn to unionize. "This isn't a Connecticut problem," one rep said. "This is an NCAA problem."
