Troy Patton tested positive and suspended 25 games

  • Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Troy Patton was tested positive for an amphetamine and has been suspended for next season's first 25 games.

His suspension, which was announced Friday, is as a result of being tested positive for the second time; the first positive time only results in a follow-up testing.

Patton is the 15th player to be suspended under the MLB's program, with the other 14 penalized after the Biogenesis investigation.
