Troy Patton tested positive and suspended 25 games
December 21 , 2013
Baltimore Orioles relief pitcher Troy Patton was tested positive for an amphetamine and has been suspended for next season's first 25 games.
His suspension, which was announced Friday, is as a result of being tested positive for the second time; the first positive time only results in a follow-up testing.
Patton is the 15th player to be suspended under the MLB's program, with the other 14 penalized after the Biogenesis investigation.
