Tony Gwynn Jr. gets standing ovation

  • Tony Gwynn Jr. got a standing ovation when he got back to Phillies after traveling for his father's funeral.

Media reports indicate  that Phillies fans gave him the ovation as soon as he entered the game as a pinch hitter on Tuesday, June 24.

The gesture was touching and a lot of credit goes to Jarrod Saltalamacchia, who made sure that fans got more time to cheer Tony Gwynn Jr.
