Ski helmet saved Schumacher from dying

  • Doctors aren't providing much information about Michael Schumacher's condition as he remains in artificial coma. "It is too early, at this stage to make a judgement about the future of Michael Schumacher," the chief anesthesiologist said. "He is in a critical state in terms of cerebral resuscitation.

However, experts have mentioned that the seven-time Formula One champ would have died if it weren't for his helmet.

A brain surgeon, who is not related to his treatment, said Schumacher was likely to survive the accident more than anyone else since he is not only fairly young but is also in top condition.

The anesthesiologist mentioned that Schumacher wasn't in a "normal state of consciousness" and his limbs were moving involuntarily when hit his head on a rock.
