Brazil’s media sources have reported that Luiz Felipe Scolari, the coach of the country’s World Cup squad, has resigned after Brazil’s humiliating loss to Germany in the semi-final.
After their shocking 7-1 loss to Germany, Brazil were defeated 3-0 by Holland in the third place play-off.
The 65-year-old Scolari had first taken charge as Brazil’s coach in 2001 and helped them win the 2002 World Cup in Japan. He later coached other squads, including the national team of Portugal.
