Sao Paulo signs Olympic football contract

  • Sao Paulo's Corinthians Arena will host 10 Olympic football matches next year under a deal signed with the Rio 2016 organizers. The 48,000-capacity venue, built for last year's FIFA World Cup, will host two group games, a quarter-final and a semi-final in the men's tournament. It will also be the stage for four group games, one quarter-final and the bronze medal match in the women's competition. Olympic football will also be played in the cities of Salvador, Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Manaus and Rio. (Source: IANS)
