Rio's Olympic waters are unprepared
May 20 , 2014
Rio's 2016 Olympics are coming close, but Brazil still has not cleaned up Guanabara Bay since unchecked garbage remains at the site, as per media reports.
Sailing officials mentioned that they'd like independent water testing and the Associated Press also got a letter from the environment secretary of Rio state, stating that most of this pollution could be cut by 50 percent instead of the originally promised 80 percent.
"It can get really disgusting, with dog carcasses in some places and the water turning brown from sewage contamination," an Olympic hopeful said.
