Police shot an unarmed man 10 times

  • Cop Randall Kerrik is accused of shooting Jonathan A. Ferrell, a former football player at Florida A&M University. 

    The 24-year old was hit with 10 bullets after being shot 12 times even though he was unarmed. The cop was charged with voluntary manslaughter and is scheduled to appear in court today. 

    The former football player's mother said she forgives the shooter but he "took a piece out of my heart that can never be put back," she said "A piece of me is gone."

    Kerrick was released on a $50,000 bond.
