Petrova wins Pan Pacific Open title

  • Nadia Petrova secured a three-set victory over defending champion Agnieszka Radwanska to win the Pan Pacific Open title on Saturday.

The 17th-seeded Petrova started out strong and survived a charge from the third- seeded Radwanska to record a 6-0, 1-6, 6-3 victory in just one hour and 40 minutes.

It marks the 12th career WTA title and second in 2012 for the Russian, who won the Wimbledon tune-up in the Netherlands in June.
