Penn State to pay 26 Sandusky victims
October 30 , 2013
Penn State is reportedly paying 26 young men who have been sexually abused as children by former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.
After negotiating for about a year, the school announced that 23 deals are signed and three have been agreed on. The institution also faces another six claims, which might or might not produce settlements.
The university mentioned that it had determined to compensate Sandusky's victims the day he was convicted of 45 criminal counts last year.
Sandusky has been sentenced to 20 to 30 years in prison but is still maintaining his innocence.
