Paulo Bento is no longer Portugal coach
September 12 , 2014
Paulo Bento has left his role as coach of Portugal following the national team’s 1-0 defeat to Albania last week.
The 45-year-old was in charge of the team since 2010, but Portugal could not go beyond the group stage of the Brazil World Cup. He left the job by mutual consent, reports said.
Bento’s replacement would be announced soon, the Portuguese Football Federation said.
Portugal play Denmark in October in their second qualifying match of Euro 2016.
