Owners Venky's deny Blackburn sale
May 11 , 2012
Blacburn owners Venky’s have denied the soccer club is for sale following its relegation from the Premier League.
The Rovers’ 11-year stay in the top flight ended on Monday after they were defeated by Wigan.
Fans have called on manager Steve Kean and the club’s owners to leave.
Blackburn has confirmed the departure of deputy chief executive Paul hunt but co-owner Venkatesh Rao has refuted claims that the dismissal was a result of a leaked letter calling for Kean to be fired.
In November 2010, Venky’s paid $37 million to the Jack Walker Trust to take control of the club.
