Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas to write memoir

  • Sixteen-year-old Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas is set to pen a memoir due to be published later this year, according to a report in People Magazine.

Douglas made history at the 2012 London Olympics when she became the first African-American to take home the gold in the all-round individual gymnastics competition.

Douglas, who won two Olympic gold medals, left her family in Virginia when she was 12 years old to train in Iowa.

The book, Grace, Gold and Glory, My Leap of Faith will be published by the Zondervan division of HarperCollins in December.
