NFL Mascot hurt in accident

  • The Kansas City Chiefs' mascot, who has been with the team for nearly two decades, got seriously injured at Arrowhead Stadium during a zip line routine.

Details of the incidents are not clear but reports suggest that the 46-year-old suffered a back injury but was in a stable condition after surgery.

Dan Meer has a family and his community is now helping the family. "They recognize the need to preserve evidence so that it can be investigated and prevent this thing from happening again," his attorney said.

His attorney also mentioned today that there appears to be a human error and his riggings weren't secured properly.
