NAACP could forgive Donald Sterling
April 29 , 2014
The NAACP said it's willing to work with Los Angeles Clippers' owner Donald Sterling, even though there's a big controversy regarding his racist remarks. The organization denied him a lifetime achievement award because of his comments and said his words were "devastating."
However, the NAACP could still forgive Sterling since it has worked with the man for about two decades. "God teaches us to forgive. ...I think there's room for forgiveness. I wouldn't be a Christian if I said there wasn't," Los Angeles President Lion Jenkins said.
Clippers coach Doc Rivers mentioned that he "believed" Sterling is the one who said those things.
