N.C. school fires football coach
August 23 , 2013
A week before North Carolina Central opens the 2013 season, the team fired Henry Frazier as the football coach.
No specific reasoning has been given by the school but Frazier reportedly faced personal issues, which were causing the school to divert attention from athletics.
According to The Herald-Sun, Frazier had been suspended by the school after he was arrested on violation of a domestic violence protective order. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.
Frazier had also been suspended by the school earlier in 2012 when he assaulted his wife following an argument. He was, however, reinstated two months after the incident.
Dwayne Foster will serve as interim head coach, according to the school.
