Murali Vijay steadies India's innings with century

  • Murali Vijay remained unbeaten on 122 as India reached 259 for four against England on the first day of the Trent Bridge test match.

    This was the 30-year-old Vijay’s fourth test century and the first on foreign soil.

    He hit one six and 20 fours in his knock, putting an unbeaten 81-run partnership with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni for the fifth wicket.

    Indian batsmen Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Ajinkya Rahane, and Cheteshwar Pujara did not stay on the crease for long.
