Motorcycle Racer dies after losing control

  • Bill Warner, who was 44 years of age, lost control and zoomed off a runway in northern Maine. According to Tim Kelly, race director for the Loring Timing Association this happened after the racer was clocked at 285 mph. Warner is said to be conscious after the accident but he died about an hour after that.

According to Kelly, no one will touch Warner's achievements. Warner had known to previously hit 311 mph on the same course two years ago using 1.5 miles of pavement. However, this time he was trying to do the same using just a mile of pavement.
